School Book Fair
The St. Philomena School Fall Book School Fall Book Fair is Coming!'
Wednesday, 7:30am to 4:30pm
Thursday, 1:00pm to 8:00pm
Friday, 8:00am to 11:30am
The book fair will be held in the St. Philomena School Library. The book fair features a great selection of quality, affordably priced Scholastic books for ages Pre-K to 8 th grade. In addition to adult novels and cookbooks, Halloween and fall themed books will also be available. With the holidays are around the corner, books make great gifts! Proceeds earned from the book fair support the St. Philomena School library.

October 28th is the PEP Club’s annual Autumn Fest. It will take place from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM in the Parish Hall. There will be games for students in PreK to 5 th grade. There will also be a cakewalk in which you can win baked goods, the face painting and the temporary tattoo booth. You can also go through the haunted hallway, if you dare!! Students and their parents are encouraged to come in costumes. There will be prizes for the best costumes. The kitchen will be open thanks to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, so bring the family for dinner. There will be goodies, and candy for everyone. Admission is $2.00 per person and one to two non-perishable food items for the Food Bank. All school and parish families are invited.
Youth Ministry Halloween Party
We hope you can join us for the Youth Ministry Halloween party on Sunday, Oct. 30th from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. We will be learning about All Hollow’s Eve, All Saint’s Day, All Soul’s Day and the Mexican holiday, Día de Los Muertos (The Day of the Dead). There will be Halloween activities and Halloween goodies. See you there!!
Simbang Gabi Planning Meeting
Simbang Gabi is scheduled for December 17th this year. We are starting to make plans and parishioners are invited to come to the planning meetings. They are scheduled for October 16th and 30th, November 6th and 20th, and December 4th. The meetings will be after the 10:30am Mass. Any questions or for more information, contact the parish office.
All Saints Day
All Saints Day is a Holy Day of Obligation. Come and celebrate! Stay tuned for Mass times!
All Souls Day
The annual Mass of Remembrance will be offered at Gethsemane and Calvary Cemeteries at 10:30am. Mass at Holyrood Cemetery will begin at 2:00pm.

Scott Montgomery, award winning concert organist and recording artist, is coming to St. Philomena’s. Scott will be giving a concert on our acclaimed Burton Tidwell/Allen organ on Friday November 11, 2016 at 7:00pm. The concert is free, with a free-will offering taken to support our parish music and liturgical programs. Tell your friends!!

The Knights of Columbus will be selling boxed lunches again at the Holiday Bazaar. Tickets are available through the Knights and the parish office. The menu consists of Hawaiian teriyaki chicken with steamed rice and salad, with bottled water, for $8.00 each. Side menus consist of Beef hotdogs at $1.50 each, Beef hotdogs with chili at $2.00 each. Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, and bottled water are $1.00 each.
