Respect Life

Charter
The mission of our parish’s Respect Life Committee is to foster a culture of life through prayer and service, which emphasizes compassion and respect for human life at all stages, especially the unborn.
Our efforts involve creating awareness of the issues pertaining to the sanctity of life, as well as hosting events and activities that advocate for these causes.
Causes we advocate for:
1.ABORTION
2.ASSISTED SUICIDE
3.BIOETHICS
4.CAPITAL PUNISHMENT
5.DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
6.END OF LIFE ISSUES
7.HUMAN TRAFFICKING
The Respect Life Committee is dedicated to the following tasks in completing the above objective:
• Offering prayer opportunities and resources.
• Providing resources that help to educate the faithful and to foster awareness regarding the issues of life.
• Sponsoring speakers to foster awareness and build a community of support within the parish for those whose lives are often marginalized and devalued.
• Actively planning and participating in prayer campaigns for life issues, including 40 Days for Life.
• Directly encountering vulnerable groups of the parish to provide financial and social aid, such as to unhoused families, the elderly and parishioners without community, immigrants, and at-risk moms and babies.
• Sponsoring events such as baby bottle, diaper, food, coat, and sock drives.
• Creating advocacy opportunities for those whose human dignity is at risk, including from death penalty, abortion, and other systemic injustices.
• Collaborating with our parish school to support student and family efforts.
